Product Description
The Waveshare PoE HAT (G), product code 27670, enables a Raspberry Pi 5 to receive power and network connectivity through a single Ethernet cable. Used with a compatible PoE switch or injector, it reduces cable clutter and removes the need for a separate USB-C power connection.
Supporting IEEE 802.3af/at PoE and PoE+, the board accepts a 38–57V DC PoE input and provides a regulated 5V output rated up to 5A through the GPIO header. Available power depends on the connected PoE source and its power budget.
The compact 56.5 × 64.98mm design is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 official case and official Active Cooler. Supplied headers and mounting standoffs help simplify assembly, making it practical for networked projects, home automation and remote monitoring installations.
The standard package includes the PoE HAT, connection headers and standoffs. The Raspberry Pi, PoE power source, case and cooler are sold separately.
