Checking whether a Dahua XVR5108H-4KL-X-8P will take over from a failed recorder? It reads HDCVI, AHD, TVI and CVBS cameras on its eight inputs, and can add IP cameras in an 8+4 hybrid mode, so a mixed set of cameras can stay in place.
The X-8P version can power compatible PoC cameras through the coax cable, within a 48W total output budget, which saves running separate power leads. Video goes out over HDMI up to 4K, with VGA at the same time. It uses H.265+ compression and has one SATA bay for a drive of up to 10TB, bought separately.
